Kawano, Kim named MIL golfers of the year

Maui High School's Kelcie Kawano and St. Anthony's Taeksoo Kim were named Maui Interscholastic League golfers of the year in voting by league coaches.Kawano finished fourth in the MIL tournament and was the runner-up at the girls state tournament, losing in a playoff to Punahou's Anna Jang.
Kim, a sophomore, won the MIL boys individual title this year and helped the Trojans to the MIL team title. He finished tied for 26th at the state tournament.
