Science education will be the topic this morning at a news conference with Gov. Linda Lingle and officials from the National Science Board.

Lingle has been promoting science, technology, engineering and math, known as STEM skills, to help set the groundwork for the state to eventually transition to a more innovation-based economy.

The news conference is scheduled for 11:30 a.m. at the state Capitol.
