UH-Manoa student employees honored

Four students won cash scholarships and recognition at the 22nd Annual Student Employee of the Year Awards Ceremony:
Phoebe Hwang, a biology major who worked as student assistant in the Department of Public Health Sciences, was the overall winner. She receives a $750 scholarship and will compete in the regional competition for Student Employee of the Year.
Ryland Watanabe was the Category winner. A MIS & Management major, he worked as student administrative assistant in the Department of International Programs and will receive a $500 scholarship.
Hwang and Watanabe will now have their names placed on the President's Trophy that is on display in the Queen Lili'uokalani Center for Student Services.
Receiving $250 scholarships were Monica Tan, a business major who worked as office manager assistant in the Department of Human Nutrition, Food and Animal Science; and Debbie Quibilan, a pre-nursing student who worked as an assistant in the Office of International Education.
Earning Student Teams of the Year honor were the Center for Career Development and Student Employment; and the Office of the Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs.
Both teams were added on the Dean's Trophy displayed in the Queen Lili'uokalani Center for Student Services.
