PEARL CITY
Net sex suspect to be arraigned

Advertiser Staff

A 19-year-old Pearl City Uplands man charged with soliciting minors for sex on the Internet will be arraigned tomorrow before Circuit Judge Derrick H.M. Chan.

Thomas A. Puckett's bail is $40,000.

Puckett is the fifth man charged this year on O'ahu with first-degree electronic enticement of a child for trying to lure minors for sex online.

Puckett was arrested at 10:15 a.m. May 29 when he showed up at Manoa Marketplace to meet two 13-year-old girls he had agreed to pick up and take to a hotel room for sex.

The meeting was set up by police posing as the girls in an online chat room.
