Sumo wrestlers at food show

Food fans can sample an array of Japanese and Asian cuisine and rub elbows with sumo stars Musashimaru and Hawai'i-born Takamiyama at the 10th Cherry Food Show today.

The event, hosted by The Cherry Co. Ltd., will be held at the Japanese Cultural Center of Hawaii from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and will feature 48 companies.

Musashimaru and Takamiyama will be there from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. to sign autographs and promote a two-day exhibition this weekend at the Blaisdell Arena.

The food show is free and open to those in the restaurant, hotel and retail industries.

Parking is $3 at the Cultural Center.
