Advertiser Staff
Sacred Hearts Academy won a $20,000 National School of Character award.
Ten such awards are given to U.S. schools; half of the money will be used on a character education program, the rest assists other educators in the community.
The award cites the school's students for giving an annual 60,000 hours in service to the community. Winners will be recognized at a national forum on character education in November in Arlington, Va.
