Kelly Hu is back in movie productions. This time, in a psychological thriller.

An Alliance Group Entertainment news release said production started Monday on "Farmhouse," which revolves around a young married couple, played by William Lee Scott and Jamie Brown, who are plagued by "a horrible and tragic" secret that leads to a fast-paced cat-and-mouse game.

Hu's role wasn't announced in the news release, but the Kamehameha Schools grad's list of movie credits includes the "X-Men," "The Scoripion King" and "Underclassmen." She recently played a "massage therapist" on the ABC sitcom "In Case of Emergency."

The movie is being filmed in Los Angeles and Bradley, Calif., through June 30, the news release said.

"Farmhouse" appears to have a stellar cast. According to the Alliance new release, the following actors and actresses have been secured for the movie:

Steven Weber ("Wings," "The Shining"), William Lee Scott ("Pearl Harbor"), Jamie Brown ("The Notebook"), Sam Sarpong (MTV's "Yo Momma"), Drew Sidora ("Step up"), Jack Donner ("Star Trek," "The Invisible"), and Adair Tishler ("Heroes").

Drac Studios, a two time Oscar winning company that has received Academy Awards for achievement in makeup (won for "Mrs. Doubtfire" and Bram Storker's "Dracula") has been recruited by Alliance Group Entertainment to provide all the special-effects makeup for "Farmhouse."
