WAI'ANAE
Highway lane will be closed

Advertiser Staff

The Honolulu Board of Water Supply will close the right town-bound lane of Farrington Highway between Kahe Point and Ko Olina again today from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. in order to excavate a water main that broke on Sunday.

The same one-mile stretch was closed yesterday. Metal plates will cover the trench after 2 p.m., and the lane will be reopened to traffic.

The lane will be closed again tonight. Work crews expect to complete the repairs between 8 p.m. and tomorrow morning, before rush-hour traffic begins.

Leeward O'ahu residents should not experience a loss in water service, but they are urged to conserve water until the repairs are completed.
