Birthday special for military at Battleship Missouri

In honor of the U.S. Army's 232nd birthday, coming up June 14, the Battleship Missouri Memorial at Pearl Harbor will offer free admission to all active duty, reserve and retired U.S. Army personnel from tomorrow through June 17. Immediate family members will also receive 50 percent off admission rates.

To take advantage of the offer, qualified visitors must present a valid military ID at the Missouri's ticket window at Ford Island, Pearl Harbor.

The Army birthday special also includes 10 percent discounts of items at the memorial's Victory Store.

The Battleship Missouri Memorial is open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily. General admission is $16 for adults and $8 for children 4 through 12. Military and kama'aina rates are $10 for adults and $5 for children. All military in uniform are granted free admission at the gate.

Guided tours are also available at additional charge.
