Health fair for women slated

Wal-Mart in Kona will host a health fair called "Speaking of Women's Health" at the Henry Street store tomorrow.

The event will be from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., and staff from Kona Community Hospital will offer preventive health screenings for high blood pressure and asthma.

Health education also will be offered on topics such as quitting smoking, nutrition, women's health and the hospital services at KCH. Dr. Christina Collins, the hospital's new obstetrician/gynecologist, will be available to answer questions.

Kona Community Hospital is a 94-bed acute care and long-term care hospital that was was founded in 1914.
