WAIMEA
Audubon sets valley hikes

Advertiser Staff

Waimea Valley Audubon Center is offering guided hikes, including one for families from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. tomorrow. Hikers 7 years old and up will climb to the top of a ridge on a switchback trail that traverses a mixed forest of exotic and native plants. The two-mile trip is an easy-to-moderate hike.

A North Valley Hike, from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. June 16, will give participants a chance to explore from the ridge line to the valley floor. This six-mile hike is moderate to strenuous and for ages 12 and up. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Fee is $3 plus admission.
