Big Island police seek help with stolen moped case

Big Island police are asking for the public's help in providing information about the theft of a moped in Kawaihae sometime between March 27 and March 28.

The red 2006 Honda Elite moped was secured to a guard rail on Queen Ka'ahumanu Highway between the 57- and 58-mile markers when it was stolen.

Police ask anyone with information about the case to call Officer Clarence Yee at (808) 887-3080 or the police department's non-emergency number at (808) 935-3311. Tipsters who prefer to remain anonymous may call CrimeStoppers at (808) 961-8300 in Hilo or (808) 329-8181 in Kona. All CrimeStoppers information is kept confidential.
