A little rain and a lot of sun forecast for today

A high pressure area to the northeast of the state will bring moderate trade winds to the islands into next week, according to the National Weather Service.

Windward areas will have a few night and morning trade showers with clearing skies by the afternoons, forecasters said.

Leeward areas should have plenty of sunshine through the next several days.

Today, mostly sunny with isolated showers. Highs 79 to 88. East winds 10 to 15 mph. Chance of rain 20 percent.

Tonight, partly cloudy with isolated showers. Lows 67 to 75. East winds 10 to 15 mph. Chance of rain 20 percent.

Sunday, mostly sunny. Highs 79 to 88. East winds 10 to 15 mph.

Sunday night, partly cloudy. Lows 68 to 75. East winds 10 to 15 mph.

Monday, mostly sunny with isolated showers. Highs 80 to 88. East winds 10 to 15 mph. Chance of rain 20 percent.

Monday night, partly cloudy with isolated showers. Lows 68 to 76. Northeast winds 10 to 15 mph. Chance of rain 20 percent.
