Airman from Hickam identified as victim of Iraq blast

An airman assigned to the Explosive Ordnance Disposal Team at Hickam Air Force Base died on June 7 south of Balad, Iraq.
The Department of Defense announced today that Senior Airman William N. Newman, 23, of Kingston Springs, Tenn., died of wounds suffered from an improvised explosive device.
He was assigned to the Explosive Ordnance Disposal Team of Hickam's 15th Civil Engineer Squadron.
