Hula at ministry for special needs

The John 17:21 Ministry, which focuses on spiritual development for those with special needs, will hold a meeting at 4 p.m. tomorrow at Wesley United Methodist Church, 1350 Hunakai St., across from Kahala Mall.

The Hula Halau Hope 4 U, from Waipahu United Church of Christ, will perform, and that church's Rev. Wendy Tajima will preach.

JOIN PROCESSION OF THE EUCHARIST

A noon Corpus Christi procession will take place tomorrow from the Co-Cathedral of St. Theresa to the Cathedral of Our Lady of Peace downtown.

After 10:30 a.m. Mass by Bishop Larry Silva in the co-cathedral, hundreds are expected to follow as he carries the eucharist in a special receptacle, called a monstrance, to the cathedral, where there will be a benediction and adoration at 1 p.m. There will be singing of hymns, candles, incense; also look for the colorful Knights of Columbus and a eucharistic canopy carried by six people. Participants should bring water and wear walking shoes.

CATHOLIC DIOCESE INVITES ITS EX-PATS

Catholics who have left the church are being invited back to talk with church officials at 7 p.m. June 27 at Holy Family Academy cafeteria, to give their voice to the diocesan strategic planning.

The planning committee will offer participants time to talk, as well as question-and-response time.

The cafeteria is at 830 Main St. (off Nimitz at Valkenburg).
