Tia Carrere coming to town to promote debut CD

Tia Carrere, best known as the bombshell in "Wayne's World," is taking a turn at the mike, with her debut CD "Hawaiiana." The O'ahu-born Carrere will come to town this month to promote the disc, which comprises largely traditional Hawaiian songs such as "He Aloha Mele." But there are a couple of contemporary nods, too, including a cover of The Carpenters' "Sing."Tia Carrere will make the following appearances:
Carrere will sign her new CD; organizers request that fans do not bring in outside items to be autographed.
