'Olelo airs video offering help with tax forms

The state Department of Taxation is airing a video at 8 this morning on 'Olelo (Channel 49) that will help landlords complete the revised general excise tax forms.This is the third of four televised showings of the video, which can also be found on the department's Web site, www.hawaii.gov/tax. It will be shown one more time on 'Olelo at 6 p.m. on June 19.
The program will also include information on filling out the new parts of Form G-45 related to the new O'ahu County Surcharge tax and reporting taxes by taxation district.
Taxpayers who have questions may call the Tax Department's customer call center at 587-4242 or toll free at (800) 222-3229 between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m., Monday through Friday (excluding state holidays) through June 29. After June 29, call center hours will return to 7:45 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
