KANE'OHE
Medicinal plant garden at WCC

Advertiser Staff

Windward Community College this month will unveil a new garden on campus dedicated to growing plants that can be used for medicinal purposes.

The garden, to be dedicated at 10 a.m. Monday, is part of the school's biotechnology certificate program. The program is designed to prepare students for positions in Hawai'i's growing biotechnology business program.

During the garden dedication, students will show some of the bio-products they have made from material in the garden, including medicinal soap, lotions and perfumes.
