La'ie man was unreported traffic fatality

The medical examiner's office today identified the man as Joseph Scott Peterson, 23, of La'ie. An autopsy listed cause of death as "complications of motor vehicle accident (passenger)" and another significant factor as alcohol intoxication.
Peterson's death was not reported to the public by police. Officially, he is listed as the 34th of O'ahu's 35 traffic deaths in 2007.
