T.G.I. Friday's on Ward closes

T.G.I. Friday's on Ward Avenue quietly closed today after 26 years.The restaurant, in the Honolulu Club building at the corner of King Street and Ward Avenue, was operated by franchisee Wesco Restaurant Group of Hawaii.
Wesco continues to run Hawai'i's only other T.G.I. Friday's, in Waikiki. The T.G.I. Friday's brand is owned by Minneapolis-based Carlson Restaurants Worldwide, which is seeking franchisees to open restaurants on Kaua'i and Maui.
