Woman, 63, dies in apparent stabbing at Kalihi home

A 63-year-old woman is dead and a 62-year-old man is in critical condition this afternoon following what appears to be a murder-suicide attempt in Kalihi, officials said.The woman was declared dead at 12:06 p.m. at a home at 1839 Akina St., said Bryan Cheplic, spokesman for the city Emergency Services Department.
A call for medical assistance at the home was received at 11:23 a.m., Cheplic said.
Police said paramedics arrived on scene and reported the death. The woman appeared to have been stabbed to death, police said.
