Kimberly Kim tied for 11th at Rolex Girls Junior golf

Former Pahoa resident Kimberly Kim shot a 5-over-par 75 and was tied for 11th after the first round of the Rolex Girls Junior Championship today at Hiwan Golf Club in Evergreen, Colo.Jane Rah, of Torrance, Calif., shot a 68 and had a two-stroke lead over Mina Harigae of Monterey, Calif.
Ayaka Kaneko, a Sacred Hearts student, shot a 76 and was tied for 15th in the 83-golfer field. Elyse Okada of Maui was tied for 20th after a 78.
The tournament ends Friiday.
