Architecture sessions free

The seventh International Symposium on Asia Pacific Architecture starts tomorrow and is co-hosted by the University of Hawai'i-Manoa and Shanghai's Tongji University. The symposium, at the UH School of Architecture, runs through Saturday and is free and open to the public.

The theme of the symposium is "Architecture + Movement"; discussion will focus on challenges facing modern architects, including sustainability, emerging technologies, the environment and mass transit.

Opening and closing receptions are $40; reservations are required.
