Surf continues to increase along south, west shores

Advertiser Staff

Surf along south shores continues to rise, increasing from 4 to 6 feet overnight to 5 to 7 feet tonight. A series of south swells will maintain moderate surf through the weekend, the National Weather Service said, but today and tomorrow will be the largest surf.

The National Weather Service also said surf along west shores will increase from 2 to 4 feet to 3 to 6 feet.

Elsewhere, east shores will see surf 3 to 5 feet and north shores will see surf 2 feet or less.

Increasing trade winds will bring elevated surf to east facing shores Friday and Saturday, although surf will be rough and choppy. Otherwise, no significant swells are expected.
