Dog stolen along with van on Big Island

Puna police on the Big Island are requesting the public's help after a silver Plymouth station wagon was taken from Ahalanui Beach park between 5:30 and 6:15 p.m. Tuesday.

The vehicle is owned by a 90-year-old female and the female's dog was inside the car when it was taken. The dog is described as a female Rottweiler named "Ruckus," which has a red collar. The vehicle was found later that evening on fire fronting the Kalapana Seaview Estates Subdivision.
