Kaneko finishes fourth, Kim fifth at Rolex Junior golf

Ayaka Kaneko of Honolulu shot a 6-over-par 76 today to finish fourth at the Rolex Girls Junior Championship at Hiwan Golf Club in Evergreen, Colo.

Jane Rah, of Torrance, Calif., shot a 74 and finished at 7-over 217 for a two-shot victory over Mina Harigae of Monterey, Calif., who shot a 77. Jessica Wallace of Langley, British Columbia, was third after a 75—220. Kaneko, a Sacred Hearts student, was at 223.

Kimberly Kim, a former Big Island resident now living in Arizona, finished tied for fifth after a 76—225.

Elyse Okada, who will be a senior at Maui High, shot a 79 and finished tied for 21st at 234.

The American Junior Golf Association tournament featured an 83-player field of juniors from 24 states, Canada, Mexico and Japan.
