Rough surf along east shores expected to last a while

Advertiser Staff

Surf along east-facing shores will be 6 to 8 feet today, resulting in a high surf advisory, according to the National Weather Service.

Elsewhere, the surf is expected to reach 4 to 6 feet along south-facing shores, 2 to 4 feet along west-facing shores and 2 feet or less along north-facing shores.

Surf along south-facing shores will slowly diminish during the weekend, becoming small for the work week. Rough east shore surf is expected through the weekend. Otherwise, no significant swells are expected.
