High surf advisory in effect for east-facing shores

A high surf advisory is in effect for all east-facing shores on O'ahu where wave faces today are expected to be in the 5- to 8-foot range, according to the National Weather Service.Elsewhere , the surf will decrease to 3 to 5 feet along south-facing shores and will go down a bit along west-facing shores to 1 to 3 feet today.
Surf along north-facing shores is expected to remain at 2 feet or less, forecasters said.
No significant new swells are expected at least through Friday.
