Hawaii Health Guide plans ethnobotanical festival

A statewide ethnobotanical healing arts festivals, the Hawaii Healing Garden, will take place July through November, sponsored by the Hawaii Health Guide.

The schedule:

KAUA'I: July 14-19

Kaua'i Community College;

McBryde & Limahuli National Tropical Botanical Gardens

O'AHU: August 25

Waimea Valley Audubon Center

MAUI: Oct. 6

Maui Community College

BIG ISLAND: Nov. 3

Amy Greenwell Botanical Garden

The Hawaii Healing Garden is a multi-cultural celebration of the medicinal and nutritional plants of Hawai'i, honoring Hawai'i's heritage of Polynesian, Hawaiian, Ayurvedic, Japanese, Chinese and Filipino natural healing arts.

The event will celebrate healthy living.

Festival Day highlights include:

i Health practitioners and botanical experts.

i Keiki "Little Green Thumbs" children's programs

i Japanese tea ceremony

i Healing arts

i Hula and cultural entertainment.

i Tours, classes and workshops.
