Pineapple Grill hosts winemaker's dinner June 30

As part of the Kapalua Wine & Food Symposium, the team at Pineapple Grill at Kapalua Resort is partnering with winemaker Greg Brewer of Melville Winery, Brewer-Clifton Winery & Diatom Winery for a Midsummer Winemaker's Dinner at 6:30 p.m. June 30.
Executive chef Ryan Luckey has concocted a four-course menu tailor-made to go with Brewer's offerings.
Tickets cost $130, including tax and tip, and can be purchased by calling Pineapple Grill at Kapalua Resort at (808) 669-9600.

Winemaker's Reception: 2006 Melville Estate Chardonnay, Clone 76, Santa Barbara 2006 Diatom Huber Vineyard Chardonnay, Santa Rita Hills, Santa Barbara; Stellar Bay oysters on the half shell, gingered crab and tobiko caviar salad on wonton crisps, kampachi sashimi
First course: 2004 Brewer-Clifton "Mount Carmel" Chardonnay, Santa Rita Hills, Santa Barbara; macadamia nut-crusted shutome, edamamae and Kula corn succotash, Kona lobster essence, truffle-kabayaki sauce
Second course: 2005 Brewer-Clifton "Melville" Pinot Noir, Santa Rita Hills, Santa Barbara; peppered 'ahi steak, Hana pohole fern shoots and Maui onion compote, crispy foie gras potato cake, shiitake mushroom brandy cream sauce
Third course: 2004 Melville Estate Donna's, Syrah, Santa Barbara Asian-spiced grilled Australian lamb chops, Hamakua hearts of palm and root vegetable puree, first of the summer tomatoes, garlic and black bean sauce
Dessert: Grand Marnier; Hawaiian Vintage chocolate mousse,
caramel tuile cup, fresh Kula raspberries.
