Injury postpones MMA's Icon June 30 bout at Blaisdell

The Icon Sport organization's "Fearless" mixed martial arts card scheduled for June 30 at the Blaisdell Center Arena has been postponed due to an injury to world champion Robbie Lawler.

Lawler was recently diagnosed with a separated shoulder after a training incident.

Lawler was scheduled to face Wai'anae's Kala Kolohe Hose for the Icon Sport middleweight (185 pounds) championship on June 30.

The "Fearless" card has been rescheduled for Sept. 15 at the Blaisdell Center Arena.

"It was a very, very sick feeling when I heard the fight got pushed back," Hose said. "But as long as I still get a shot at Lawler, I'm fine with it."

Tickets already purchased for the June 30 card can still be used for the Sept. 15 event.

Customers seeking refunds must do so at the same outlet where the tickets were purchased. Online sales will be refunded at ticketmaster.com. The Blaisdell box office should be ready to process refunds starting this Friday.

Other Hawai'i fighters scheduled to appear on the Sept. 15 card include Renato "Charuto" Verissimo, Tyson Nam, Mark Oshiro and Po'ai Suganuma.
