Water main project starting in Liliha to close one lane

Advertiser Staff

Residents who use Liliha Street should either plan an alternate route or make allowances for delays this morning and the months to come.

Starting today, the Board of Water Supply begins replacing an 80-year-old water main.

Work on the 12-inch main starts at 7:30 a.m. and will continue through 3:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. The project is expected to be completed in February.

The work will require excavation and will force the closure of one lane. The excavation work is anticipated to begin on North Judd Street.

Customers will be notified if temporary water service interruption is required, the BWS said.
