Coast Guard Cutter Jarvis gets new commander

Advertiser Staff

The U.S. Coast Guard Cutter Jarvis has a new commander.

Capt. John Prince, a recent graduate of the Marine Corps War College in Quantico, Va., assumed command of the Honolulu-based cutter at a ceremony this past Friday, taking over duties from Capt. Michael Inman.

Inman, who served as the cutter's commander the past two years, has been reassigned to Juneau, Alaska, to take over as the Chief of Response for the Seventeenth Coast Guard District.

The Coast Guard Cutter Jarvis is a 378-foot ship with a crew of 140 active-duty personnel.
