Inkinen to head board of local Japanese business group

Kathryn Inkinen, President of Inkinen & Associates, Inc., has been elected as the new Chair of the Board for the Honolulu Japanese Chamber of Commerce.

Her term runs from July 1 through June 30, 2008.

The HJCC Board of Directors also elected Ronald Hayashi, President of HCCS Consulting Associates, as chair-elect; Wayne Kato, President of Painter's Warehouse, Inc., as vice chair-administration/Secretary; and Sidney Hamada, President of Flora-Dec Sales, Inc., as vice chair-finance/treasurer.

The following members will serve as vice chairs: Leo Asuncion, Jr., Senior Integrated Resource Planning Analyst at Hawaiian Electric Company, Inc.; Scott Fujii, Vice President at Bank of Hawaii; Scott Higa, President of Robert M. Kaya Builders, Inc.; Christine Kubota, Attorney at Damon Key Leong Kupchack Hastert; and Darrell Yamagata, Vice President & Commercial Banking Officer at American Savings Bank.
