Eddie Sax, the comedy juggler who founded the Honolulu Comedy Club, will return to O'ahu with stand-up favorite Bo Irvine joining him in a series of performances beginning at 8:30 p.m. Saturday at the Turtle Bay Resort.

The pair will continue their act July 2,5 and 7 at Turtle Bay. They will also perform at 8 p.m. on July 6 at Sharkey's Comedy Club in 'Aiea.

Sax helped established comedy venues when he started the Honolulu Comedy Club in conventional clubs in Waikiki, bringing budding and known comics to the Islands, with occasional stints aboard a cruise ship, over an eight-year run beginning in the late 1980s.

Among those he introduced to Island comedy fans: George Lopez, Jeff Foxworthy and Brad Garrett, all of whom would become primetime players on television, and Japanese favorite Tamayo Otsuki.

Irvine launched his comedy career as an upstart stand-up discovered by Sax in an open-mic night.

Tickets for the shows are $15, available at the door. For information, call 531-4242.
