'Seinfeld's' Soup Nazi to perform Aug. 18

By Wayne Harada
Advertiser Entertainment Writer

Larry Thomas, better known as the Soup Nazi from TV's "Seinfeld," will serve his soup and dispense the requisite insult at "Laughs for Lions," an all-comedy fundraiser benefitting the Lions Club charities in Hawai'i, set for Aug. 18 at Saint Louis School's Mamiya Theatre.

Thomas will appear at a pre-show mixer, offering his delish soup with a side order of rudeness — all in the name of fun.

Local stand-up fave Paul Ogata, now based in Los Angeles, will headline a show that also will feature the Penn & Teller of Hawai'i —the comedy magic of Ching & Choy, among others.

Doors will open at 5:30 p.m., with soup service at 6 p.m., and performances at 7:45 p.m.

Tickets are $40 donation, which includes the show, or $75 for VIP tickets, which include soup, insults and drinks.
