Watch for work along Ala Wai Boulevard

By Catherine E. Toth
Advertiser Urban Honolulu Writer

City crews will be reconstructing some utility manholes, concrete curbs, gutters and driveways along Ala Wai Boulevard this week.

Work will take place from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. along Ala Wai Boulevard from Kapahulu Avenue to Kanekapolei Street.

Workers will also resurface the roadway, install new permanent pavement markings and vehicle loop sensors, and adjust manhole and valve box frames and covers to grade.

The project is expected to be completed by September.

Drivers and pedestrians should use caution while in this area.

For more information call the city's Department of Transportation Services at 768-8390.
