Island singer Mihana has added a Sunday performance to her sold out run, Live at the rRed Elephant.
The performer belongs to one of Hawai'i's most legendary and prolific musical families. Her mother was revered performer and songwriter Irmgard Aluli Farden. Mihana spent many years as part of her mother's hapa haole music group, Puamana.
Mihana has more recently pursued a solo career, embracing original and contemporary musical stylings.
Joining Mihana will be Grammy Award winner Jeff Peterson on guitar, ukulele legend Bill Tapia and sax master David Choy, with Ernie Provencher on bass and Abe Lagrimas on drums.
Members of Kahala Moon, and Puamana add to the concert's lively blend of jazz, country, rock and Hawaiian melodies, all sure to please Mihana's many fans. Both nights of the live concert recording will be recorded for a new CD.
