Kaiser Permanente streamlines management team

Kaiser Permanente Hawaii said it is streamlining its management team by reducing it to 17 people from 36 who report to Regional President Janet Liang and Executive Medical Director Dr. Geoff SewellThe management structure also has been broken into seven functional areas as part of Kaiser's effort to provide better patient care by better aligning physicians and operations. Kaiser said some people have been reassigned, while others in the new executive team had received promotions or recently joined Kaiser.
The new management areas include care delivery, health plan administration, service delivery planning and facilities, knowledge management, finance and business services, human resources and market, brand and public affairs.
