Woman accused of robbing man in Waikiki

Prosecutors today charged a 24-year-old woman with attempting to steal a bag from a man last night in Waikiki.Teuila Medeiros is being held in lieu of $11,000 pending an appearance at District Court tomorrow on a second-degree robbery charge.
Medeiros also is being held on an outstanding $500 misdemeanor warrant.
The robbery charge stems from an alleged grab for a 30-year-old man's bag at 10:30 p.m. at Kuhio Avenue and Olohana Street. As Medeiros and the man were struggling for control of the bag, police said, an officer on patrol happened on the scene.
