WAI'ANAE
Family of 12 getting home

Advertiser Staff

On Saturday, Ernest and Stacy Sadamaru of Wai'anae, along with their 10 children (four of their own and six adopted from Ernest's late sister), will take possession of their new six-bedroom Habitat for Humanity Leeward O'ahu home.

Along with hundreds of volunteers, the Sadamaru family had spent a year building the house at 85-056 Lualualei Homestead Road.

Prior to partnering with Habitat for Humanity, the family had crowded together in a dilapidated dwelling too small to hold 12 people.

The organization's mission is to eliminate substandard housing on O'ahu. It is funded by tax-deductible donations and volunteers.
