Kapalua Wine & Food Festival begins June 28

The 2007 Kapalua Wine & Food Festival, one of the longest-running festivals of its kind in the United States, will be held June 28 through July 1 at The Ritz-Carlton, Kapalua.

Master sommelier and host Fred Dame has assembled a cast of internationally known winemakers, acclaimed master sommeliers, celebrated chefs and industry insiders for a series of tastings, seminars and gala events. Bon Appetit and San Francisco Magazine's 2005 Chef of the Year Michael Mina will conduct a cooking demonstration. A seafood festival featuring Hawai'i's top chefs caps off the weekend's festivities on July 1.

Cooking demonstrations featuring food samplings and fine wine pairings, wine-tasting seminars and a rare wines winemaker dinner are a few of the highlights.

Guests can experience The Grand Tasting with Spanish-inspired cuisine and more than 100 wines from around the world.
