MLB: Two Hawaii pitchers may see action in minors

Advertiser Staff

Two Hawaii pitchers who spent time in the major leagues might see action in the minor leagues.

Former Waipahu pitcher Jeome Williams, who was on the disabled list with a sore shoulder, cleared waivers yesterday

and was outrighted to Class AA Harrisburg, according to a report in the Washington Post.

Williams, who went 0-5 with a 7.20 ERA with Washington, has 72 hours to decide if he'll accept the assignment.

Former Saint Louis pitcher Brandon League (shoulder) hasn't shown enough control to warrant a return to the

big leagues and will stay in Triple-A, according to The Sports News Web site.
