Five O'ahu libraries host kids' Celtic Keiki Celebration

In celebration of the 2007 HSPLS Children's Summer Reading Program, five Oahu public libraries will be hosting "Celtic Keiki Celebration of Independence Day," an exploration on Celtic culture's influence on America's musical heritage.The celebrations happen at:
- Kapolei Public Library, at 3:00 p.m. on July 2.
- Waipahu Public Library, at 10:30 a.m. on July 3.
- Kailua Public Library, at 6:30 p.m. on July 3.
- Aina Haina Public Library, at 10:30 a.m. on July 5.
- Kaneohe Public Library, at 2:30 p.m. on July 15.
The Celtic Keiki will present a "Celebration of Red, White and Blues Clues" as part of the summer reading theme, Get A Clue @ your library! Dancers Caleigh, Delia and Tristan Fabro, under the direction of Lorraine Suankum, will present the program. The dancers will also pay homage to the music of George M. Cohan, John Philip Sousa and The Andrew Sisters, in song and dance. Using Blues Clues questions and trivia, the Celtic Keiki will encourage the children to "Get A Clue" about reading this summer!
The 45-minute programs are free and suitable for all ages. Children must be accompanied by a parent or caregiver.
