Advertiser Staff
Ameron International Corp. said it earned $15.8 million in the three months ended May 27, in part because of higher construction sales of its Hawai'i division, which produces concrete and other products. The Pasadena, Calif.-based company said the performance compared to an $18.7 million profit a year earlier. It said results were higher in 2007 when a $9 million pretax gain on property sales was excluded from the 2006 period. Sales totaled $156.8 million and compared to a year prior's $132.7 million.
It said the construction market served by its Hawai'i division is "stable."
