Big Island's Hula Kai starts Snorkel & Sunset cruise

News Release

KEAUHOU BAY, BIG ISLAND — Hula Kai kicked off its Summer Snorkel & Sunset Cruise this month. The daily four-hour seasonal cruise runs through Aug. 31.

Guests aboard the 55-foot Hula Kai catamaran visit snorkeling and scuba locations along a 10-mile secluded stretch on the South Kona coastline. Highlights include underwater lava arches, historic lava flows and sea caves. It's not unusual to spot dolphins, whales, manta rays and, of course, fish such as tangs and triggers. All snorkel gear is included. Scuba gear is also available with experienced guides to assist with instruction.

After snorkeling, guests gather for a barbecue served alongside a scenic location. Post-barbecue, everyone can settle back with a drink to take in the Kona sunset.

Hula Kai Snorkel & Sunset Cruise: departs daily at 3 p.m., returns at 7:15 p.m. to Keauhou Bay. Cost is $125 per person. Cruise is limited to 40 passengers. For reservations or more information go to http://www.fair-wind.com.
