Firefighters towing boat, 5 people to Hawaii Kai shore

Firefighters are towing a 22-foot boat that lost power in waters off the Hawai'i Kai area, about a half mile into Maunalua Bay, said HFD spokesman Capt. Frank Johnson.Firefighters are also taking to shore five individuals who were on the boat.
No injuries were reported.
Firefighters responding to a report of boaters in distress at about 1 p.m. found the vessel drifting in the waters, Johnson said.
