Man, 32, critical after stabbing in North Shore area

Advertiser Staff

A 32-year-old man has been taken to The Queen's Medical Center this morning in critical condition after he was reportedly assaulted and stabbed.

The man was found in the bushes this morning by a dog, which was being walked by its owner, in the Waialua/Hale'iwa area, according to Bryan Cheplic, spokesman for the Honolulu Emergency Services Department.

Shortly after 7 a.m., the dog owner put the victim in the back of his SUV and drove him to the paramedic station at the Waialua fire station on Hale'iwa Road, Cheplic said.

"He was stabbed multiple times and the injuries from the assault were pretty severe, as well," Cheplic said.
