Pacific Technology Foundation seeks award nominees

Advertiser Staff

The Pacific Technology Foundation is now accepting nominations for its seventh annual Technology Industry Awards.

The awards program honors professionals and leaders in business and technology who have made significant contributions to Hawai'i's business and high-technology industry in the past year.

Judges select the winners based on "their contributions to economic growth for the state of Hawai'i, participation in community service initiatives and understanding the role of technology in their daily lives," said Lincoln Jacobe, founder of the Technology Industry Awards & founder & CEO of the Pacific Technology Foundation.

The deadline for nominations is July 31, officials said.

Nominations are being accepted in the following tech categories: company, community service, woman of the year, education of the year, hall of fame and educator of the year.

The awards presentation will be part of the "Flavors of Technology" gala, which will be held at the Sheraton Waikiki Hotel on Sept. 30 and will feature "a tantalizing all-you-can-eat menu of cuisines from Hawai'i's top chefs and restaurants."
