Swimming: Sakamoto wins Raging Isle Sprint

Noa Sakamoto outraced John Flanagan to the finish today to win the Raging Isle Sprint by seven-tenths of a second.

Sakamoto completed the 1-mile course from Sunset Beach to 'Ehukai Beach Park in 17 minutes, 53.6 seconds. Flanagan finished in 17:54.3, followed by Kalen Darling in 17:59.7.

Mia Broden won the women's open division in 19:51.9, followed by Nicole Hagi (21:04.0) and Kristi Torkildson (21:17.0).

The Raging Isle Sprint is the first of four races in the 2007 North Shore Swim Series.
